The Edwardian Postcard Project at Lancaster University and Red Rose Postcard Club of Preston are jointly hosting a Postcard Fair open to the public.
Postcards for sale to suit specialist collectors and beginners
Art exhibit of mixed-media work incorporating postcards
A programme of illustrated lectures:
- The history of the early postcard - Professor Nigel Hall, Manchester Metropolitan University
- The Edwardians' Twitters - comparing postcards a hundred years' ago and today's digital revolution - Dr Julia Gillen, Literacy Research Centre, Lancaster University
- Postcard messages in the Great War - Andrew Brooks, author.
- Edwardian postcards and everyday writing at the beginning of the twentieth century - Julia Gillen & Nigel Hall
