Welcome to te Gender and Language Research Group!
The Gender and Language Research Group (GaL) is a forum to discuss current issues in language and gender research. The coordinator of GaL is Dr. Jane Sunderland. GaL’s purpose is to provide a forum where scholars with a research interest in Gender and Language can meet on a regular basis to discuss their work, network with others interested in gender research, and develop collaborative interdisciplinary research proposals. The forum is open to both faculty and to post-graduate students, as well as others who may be interested in specific events.
We have a mailing list for the Gender and Language research group where we can keep interested parties informed of Lancaster based meetings and seminars and also draw attention to some relevant national and international conferences. To join the GaL mailing list write to Graeme Hughes (g.d.hughes@lancs.ac.uk), cc. Jane Sunderland.
The GaL research group meets once a week. All are welcome. Please follow the 'programme' link to view our plans for this term.
Participants are encouraged to let us know their views, and requests for incoming speakers. You can email us directly here.
