The GaL research group meetings are held on Wednesdays 2-3:30 pm in BN SR 16.

Week 3: 27 January 2010	Maryam Paknahad: The representation of the body in on-line romantic relations: Technology, gender, and body in Iranian love blogs
Week 4: 05 February 2010	Jane Demmen: Investigating the characterisation of female characters in Shakespeare’s play through word clusters (with PASTY and Corpus Research Groups)[This meeting will be held in BN SR 27, 1-2 pm]
Week 5: 10 February 2010	Justin Charlebois’s mock PhD viva: Constructions of Japanese femininities in discourse (some materials will be provided)
Week 6: 17 February 2010	Grace Bota: Constructing gender identities through blending and metonymies: evidence from Ghanaians in the UK Diaspora
Week 7: 24 February 2010	Ayako Tominati: Metaphor and masculinity in the Japanese newspaper coverage of baseball (Joint meeting with the PASTY Research Group)
