The Poetics and Linguistics Association (PALA) is an international academic association for those working in stylistics, pragmatics, poetics and related areas of language and literature study. PALA holds an annual international conference, and its associated journal Language and Literature is the leading publication in the field. For more information on the organisation, visit the PALA website at www.pala.ac.uk. As a taster of the PALA lifestyle, the pictures below are from this year's conference held at Bogaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey. Strangely, all of them appear to portray post-conference activities!
