Exchanges & Visiting Students
Opportunities for Home Students
The Department offers you a number of interesting study-abroad opportunities. Credits obtained at a foreign university count towards your Lancaster degree. With the help of a subsidy from the European Union, you can spend a year as an ERASMUS Exchange Student at one of the following universities:
- Zurich (Switzerland)
- Lund (Sweden)
- Greifswald (Germany)
Alternatively, you can spend your second year at a university in North America or Australasia. The exchange opportunities available may vary from year to year. More information for students wishing to spend a year studying away from Lancaster is available on the university's Study Abroad website.
Opportunities for Visiting Students and Exchange Students (ERASMUS, JYAs, etc.)
The Department welcomes visiting or exchange students, whether taking courses for one term or longer. See full list of courses for the details of individual courses. The availablity of each course to visiting students is listed at the top of each course description.
More information for students wishing to visit Lancaster is available on the university's Study Abroad website.
Study Abroad Advisor
We have a Study Abroad Advisor within the Department who has responsibility for all exchange students, whether they are visiting Lancaster or going away on an exchange. Please contact Veronika Koller if you have queries about your year abroad.
